Remembering the Dream: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at Kean

Kean University commemorates the 55th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s visit to campus (then Newark State). The event was held in the D’Angola Gymnasium 55 years to the day after Dr. King’s visit, and a commemorative plaque was unveiled outside the gym. An updated and expanded Martin Luther King Garden, outside the Human Rights Institute, was also established for the event.
